Social Combat is a streetpunk band which began in Valencia in early 1999 with members of other groups, such as Alta Tensión, Last Warning, Wallride and Ownfight.
The band started out with 4 people- Juanvi on guitar, Raúl on drums, Toni on bass and Rubén doing vocals, a few months later Jason joined them as second  rhythm guitar. It was with this group that they recorded in late '99 their first  8 track demo,"Battle hymns" consisting of 4 songs of pure agressive Oi! in english.

Their sound is similar to bands like Templars, Condemned 84, The Business, Cock sparrer, Troopers, Stars and stripes, Discipline, Decibelios, 4skins, Oxblood, etc....and also shows the influence of the hardcore of Negative approach, Warzone, Slapshot or Agnostic front and of course the street rock'n'roll sound of Motörhead and Rose tattoo.

Lyrics are in english and speak of the things that directly affect them in their daily lives, such as society and system injustice, working class pride, soccer or just personal feelings or problems, they are not a political band, they are not racist.

Their music is for simple folk, working class people, people who like Oi!, punk rock and hardcore, regardless of sex and race.

In 2002 Social Combat recorded their fisrt cd "First strike" with 11 songs, 10 of which were their own composition, plus a cover of Rose tattoo "Remedy". In this cd we can hear the 4 tracks from their demo, re-recorded and with improved sound.

First strike was produced and released by BRONCO BULLFROG RECORDS in cd format and licensed to french label "BORDS DE SEINE" for the vinyl edition which was co-produced by Bords de Seine/Camden town in a limited edition of 1000 copies.(the LP version has the same songs but different cover, inside sleeve, photos and design form the cd).

The last few months have seen changes in the band: Toni and Juanvi have left, Vis has joined them as bass (he also plays in the h.c. group "Ownfight"), and Manolo from Wallride is the new guitarrist.

Social Combat have played with bands like Street bastards, Cockney rejects, Warrior kids, Riot squad, Malas cartas, Segismundo toxicomano, Angelic upstarts, Los fastidios, Klasse kriminale, Bolchoi, Blaggers a.k.a, etc.......

They have also appeared in several compilations and tributes such as Decibelios "Exploited klimbers" and Agnostic front "Power", soon to be released and in the Class pride world wide 2 (Insurgence records)with "Our enemy, plus they recently recorded "Clockwork Skinhead" for a 4-Skins Tribute CD to be released in USA, plus they are appearing on several compilations to be released in Russia, UK, Germany, etc...
